A Homeowner’s Guide to the Federal Tax Credit for Solar Photovoltaics
- A total of 30% Tax Credit can be claimed.
- All the equipment needed for a solar install, as well as storage devices with a capacity of 3kWh and greater could be claimed as expenses.
- If the tax credit exceeds the total liability, you can carry over any unused amount of tax credit into the next tax year.
- Holiday homes will qualify if your current dwelling does not have solar installed.
- Rental Properties do not qualify for the Federal tax credit.

- All permitting and interconnections would be done free of charge.
- Online monitoring system will be granted to every homeowner free of charge.
